Established in 1980 with Riesling vines, this vineyard was the first in the district to be planted on grafted stock. Subsequent redevelopment has re-established the varietal mix of Riesling, Sauvignon blanc and Chardonnay.

Across Jacksons Road from the winery the Wallops is the homestead block that was originally planted by Allan and Catherine as contract growers for neighbouring winery Cloudy Bay.
Now an intergral component of Allan Scott Sauvignon blanc the vineyard is also planted in a small area of Chardonnay as well as the 'mother' nursery for grafting rootstock and budwood. The central location of the vineyard means that it serves as the managment centre for viticultural operations.

Purchased in August 2004 the Hounds Vineyard is an adjacent property to the Wallops Vineyard and planted predominately in Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Gris, with small areas of Merlot, Chardonnay and Semillon which will be gradually replaced with further plantings of Gewurztraminer and Riesling.
This now gives Allan Scott Wines the majority of its vineyards in close proximity to the winery and located in the heart of the prime viticultural land of Marlborough.

This prime property was acquired in July 2000 as a well established apple orchard. The followng months saw the property transformed into a vineyard which will become a strategic ingredient in the Allan Scott 'stable' of wines.
It is planted predominately in Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pipnot Noir with small areas of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Merlot. Being on part of the original bed of the Omaka River, the soils are gravelly and free-draining with a slight variation to clay loams on the Eastern side.

To complement the annual grape intake the company has contracted growers who supply
the company with grapes from a range of diverse sites that enhance the blending options.
The company's experienced viticultural staff provide expertise and harvesting equipment.
