Allan Scott Marlborough Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Allan Scott Family Winemakers is celebrating it’s 20th vintage with the release of it’s first Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc made as a true Methode Traditionelle

Viticulture

With all of our Estate owned vineyards now producing fruit, we are able to take advantage of individual characteristics of each particular vineyard. With different soil types and vine age at particular sites we can obtain a mouth-filling profile of flavours from typical Marlborough herbaceousness, to very ripe tropical flavours. Truly a variety that is made in the vineyard.

Vinification

After pressing, the wine is chilled and allowed to settle over a 24 hour period. The wine is then racked, inoculated and fermented at cool temperatures for 15-20 days. After the initial fermentation is complete the wine is bottled and the sparkle added in the same way as champagne

Description

A classic zingy Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, supercharged with refreshing bubbles. An ideal aperitif!
