Shortly after the creation of Allan Scott Wines we built our own modern winemaking facility located in the heart of the winegrowing area of Jackson's Road, Marlborough. Prior to this our wines were processed at a contract winemaking facility in Blenheim.
The purpose-built winery has a refrigerated stainless steel fermentation facility and utilises new technology winemaking equipment. Temperature-controlled rooms for barrel fermentation and oak maturation allow environmental control of traditional winemaking methods also employed.
The original design was centred on the production of premium white wines; however, recent extensions have been made to accommodate specialist production of red wines, predominantly Pinot Noir.
As a truly independent winemaking facility, it is complemented by having our own harvesting equipment that allows optimum picking times, which usually necessitates early-morning grape receival.
A bottling hall and warehouse facility complete our self-contained winery while the modern, well-equipped laboratory allows quality assurance and research to be carried out on-site.
