Viticulture

Marlborough’s 2026 harvest was outstanding, finishing on a high with superb flavours and acid balance across all varieties! The early part of the growing season was exceptional, with a fierce sun and well-spread rainfall. Ripening slowed at the beginning of 2026, before picking up again in February and March due to a cooler, drier weather pattern. This created more classical ripening conditions, with cool nights and mild, sunny days, combined with a distinct lack of rain. Fruit ripening was extended, allowing for a more relaxed pace in waiting for each block and variety to reach optimal flavour before picking. Resulting in every block being harvested at its finest.

Vinification

Harvested in the cool of morning; grapes were gently pressed followed by clarification of the juice. Controlled fermentation preserved the delicate aromatics, with time on yeast lees and a small portion of barrel fermentation included to subtly enhance the texture on the palate. The separate vineyard parcels were blended just prior to bottling.
